Survey Results Demonstrate Success

Changes Rehabilitation

Changes recently completed a survey of 311 clients that participated in the program in 2021 and we are pleased to report that nearly 50% of those that responded are still sober. Further, the survey revealed extremely high satisfaction rates, with every respondent saying they would “recommend this program to people I care about.”

Changes opened our doors in November of 2020 using a unique approach to rehabilitation developed by Dr. ‘Miss Shirley’ Jankowski. Shirley started researching substance abuse and brain chemistry in 2012 because of her daughter’s addiction. With the disease of addiction hitting home, Shirley immersed herself, researching and analyzing the current practices and support systems for individuals and families affected by the disease of addiction and the stigma associated with it to create an alternative, successful program for those in need.

This alternative approach to treating addiction is the hallmark of Changes program today. The survey results demonstrate this approach works and that of the 257 people who responded, 121 were still sober, a one-year recovery rate of 47 percent. This rate far exceeds statistics from the National Institute on Drug Abuse that found 85 percent of individuals relapse within a year of treatment.

Some of the key findings of the client satisfaction survey include:

  • When asked if they would recommend this program to people they care about, 108 people rated this excellent, 15 rated it very good, and 8 good. There were no negative ratings.
  • 93% rated the overall facility either excellent or very good.
  • 93% rated their individual therapy sessions either excellent or very good.
  • 92% said excellent or very good when asked if they received all of the treatments and services they needed.
  • 92% said their counselor was excellent or very good.
  • 95% said excellent or very good when asked if they felt safe at the facility.
  • 85% rated the community living in the facility as excellent or very good.
