How Do We Replace Addiction With Passion?
At Changes we know and understand addiction, and we know it is a battle people can’t fight on their own. Here, no one ever has to because we have a support team ready at all times.
Our main focus is helping people replace addiction with passion. We use a highly individualized approach to give the people that walk through our doors what we like to call the gift of recovery.
But how do we do it? We’d encourage you to check out this article in the Paducah Sun that explains our approach.
Using deep-seated empathy for our patients and nontraditional group techniques and activities, we emphasize creative exercises. We want the people who come to our facility to “replace addiction with a passion.” To do so, we use over 70 different group topics to treat addiction through things like arts and crafts, photography, film, music, yoga/meditation and other creative acts, among a variety of others.
We help rebuild your self-esteem and find new desires and motivations to achieve sobriety. When people leave our facility our number one goal is to have them looking forward in their life with anticipation.
Another differentiator is our emphasis on building relationships with the people we serve, both while they’re here and after they leave. That is why we provide something many other providers don’t, a four-year after-care program that allows us to build lasting relationships with everyone who is on the road to their recovery.
